Objective Employer Satisfaction With FCS Interns
Employers of FCS interns will view them as worthy of recruitment for entry-level employment in their companies/schools.

Indicator Employer Satisfaction With FCS Interns  
The supervisor evaluation form contains a question regarding the intern's potential as an employee that will be extracted and reported as a percentage.
Criteria Employer Satisfaction
At least 70% of supervisors of family and consumer sciences interns will indicate that they would hire the intern given the availability of a suitable entry-level position.
Finding Employer Satisfaction
100% of intern supervisors indicated they would hire the intern if an appropriate position became available in their company/school.
Criteria Employer Satisfaction With FCS Interns
At least 80% of supervisors of family and consumer sciences interns would give the intern a rating of 3.5 or higher on a 5.0 scale.
Finding Employer Satisfaction With FCS Interns
80% of intern supervisors indicated a rating score of 3.5 or higher on a 5.0 scale to indicate their satisfaction with the intern. The lowest score given was 3.48/5.0.

GOAL: Student Knowledge Of Content Area

Objective Knowledge And Skills
Students graduating from the family and consumer sciences program will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level positions in the field.

Indicator Knowledge And Skills  
The Exit Survey for family and consumer sciences majors includes a section that tests retention of course material; it is graded on a pass/fail basis.
Criteria Knowledge and Skills
At least 80% of students who complete the family and consumer sciences programs''s Exit Survey will score a grade of Pass or High Pass.
Finding Knowledge and Skills
100% of the graduates passed the Exit Survey, indicating high retention of course material.

Continue to provide students with learning opportunities that lead to high retention of course materials.

The faculty and staff will provide a department viewed by the students as satisfactory in regard to the building facilities.

At least 80% of graduating seniors will rate this dimensions of the department with an average score of 3.0/4.0.
Finding Building/Facilities
50% of the graduating seniors rated this dimension with an average score of 3.0/4.0; the average score for all graduating seniors was 2.5/4.0

Action Building/Facilities
Work with faculty, staff, and administrators to provide building facilities that are regarded as satisfactory. One student specified that more funding was needed and a new building, as well.
