Previous Cycle's "Plan for Continuous Improvement"

For the 2012-2013 Academic Year, this degree program will emphasize to students the importance of writing, analysis and research techniques. Through courses in this degree and through faculty mentoring, students will be encouraged to further develop these skills and abilities in future coursework and assignments.  Information on an outline of a portfolio judged to be "acceptable" by the faculty committee will be discussed with students who are currently enrolled in the program. It is anticipated that the first portfolios will be finished during the 2013-2014 Academic Year.

Update on Previous Cycle's "Plan for Continuous Improvement"

Throughout the program faculty were encouraged to challenge students to understand the importance of writing, analysis and research techniques in their coursework. As no students were approaching the portfolio component of the degree during AY 2012-2013, the portfolio requirements were not discussed with students.
Plan for Continuous Improvement

The relatively new nature of the degree program does not provide for end stage assessment data. The upcoming year is anticipated to have students eligible for engagement in program components associated with the program goals. The upcoming assessment cycle will provide initial insight for curricular/ program improvement.
