Graduate Certificate in Bilingual (Spanish) Educational Diagnostician

Program Description

The Bilingual Educational Diagnostician Program prepares educational diagnosticians who have Spanish and English language proficiency to evaluate students with dual language backgrounds, as well as students who are monolingual. Graduate students learn to establish language dominance and proficiency, conduct assessments, interpret results, and make educational recommendations for learners in school settings.  With the growing number of dual-language school children in Texas, this degree prepares evaluation specialists who serve learners with a variety of language and cultural backgrounds. To receive this certificate graduate students must enroll in the Bilingual Educational Diagnostician Cohort and demonstrate Spanish proficiency.
