Program Description
This degree plan is designed specifically for the candidate who wishes to work in a leadership position that does not require principal certification. These leadership positions include, but are not limited to, positions in schools, agencies, businesses, or organizations.
Admissions
Candidates seeking admission to a graduate program in the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling must meet the basic requirements of Graduate Admissions specified in the Admission section of this catalog. Please submit the following documents to the Office of Graduate Admissions:
- Graduate Admissions Application
- Application Fee
- Official transcript from the baccalaureate degree granting institution
- Admission preference given to individuals with a GPA of 3.0 and higher within the last 60 hours
- One Reference Form from a supervisor
- Personal Essay
- Optional: Official GRE scores (280 minimum)
Course Prerequisites are strictly observed.
Degree Requirements
This degree requires completion of thirty-six hours of graduate credit. A comprehensive examination is required during the final semester of coursework. The degree plan originates in the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling.
