In 2006, Sam Houston State University created an Online Assessment Tracking Database (OATDB) to provide a platform to enter, track and review assessment efforts. The campus-wide accessibility of OATDB allows all members of the university community the opportunity to access and learn from other units' assessment efforts.

Assessment summary reports are available for academic years 2006-2007, 2007-2008 and 2008-2009. Links are provided for each of the three assessment categories referenced in the Visiting Committee's Recommendations for comprehensive standard 3.3.1 (educational programs, administrative units, and educational support units). Clicking on a category will provide a list of specific programs/units within that category. Clicking on the program/unit will open the unit's OATDB assessment summary report. The report provides a summary of the unit's goals, objectives, indicators, criteria, findings, and actions. A Closing the Loops Summary was added for the 2008-2009 academic year.
