Program Description
This certification plan is designed specifically for the candidate who has previously obtained a Master’s Degree and wishes to obtain Principal certification. It requires completion of eighteen hours of graduate credit. Selected graduate courses not older than six years may be considered for substitution for selected required courses. The program complies with existing standards for professional certification. A comprehensive examination is required during the final semester of coursework. The study plan originates in the Department of Educational Leadership and Counseling.

Candidates seeking admission to the graduate programs in Educational Leadership and Counseling must meet the basic requirements of Graduate Studies specified in the Admission section of this catalog.
