Narrative
Sam Houston State University submits an annual Financial Profile to SACS with financial information describing the institution’s financial health [1] [2] [3]. The FY07 report was submitted in July, 2007. Additional information was not requested by SACS.
SHSU submits an annual Institutional Profile for General Information and Enrollment Data [4] [5] [6]. The report for Fall 2007 was submitted in January, 2008. No additional information has been requested by SACS.
The Financial Profile and the Institutional Profile for General Information and Enrollment Data are submitted to SACS on an annual basis and accurately and appropriately represent the total operation of the institution and demonstrate our financial health.
In addition to these reports, a complete description of SHSU’s financial stability is discussed in Core Requirement 2.11.1 and 3.10.1. Annual budgets and annual financial reports indicate the good financial health of the University [7] [8]. Each year, the SHSU Annual Budget is prepared to ensure that budgeted revenue is reasonable and equal to or greater than the expense budget for that account or group of accounts. Sam Houston State University has requested an external audit to be completed by January, 2009 [9].
Finally, The Texas State University System prepares a consolidated annual financial report for the system. Those reports are located on The Texas State University System website for fiscal years 2005, 2006, and 2007 [10] [11] [12].
