Action | Interior Design Knowledge and Skills Continue to provide the interior design students working on the BA degree with learning opportunities that lead to high retention of course materials. Encourage students to complete the program''s Exit Survey assessment so it accurately reflects the student''s knowledge and skills. Of the small number of students, 1/4, the impact of the lack of appropriate student assessment of knowledge and skills had a great affect on the outcome of the findings in this area. Action | Building Facilities Continue to maintain the interior design studio space (AB2-Room 315) with computers/drafting table to increase quality of facilities to meet the expectations of the interior design students working on the BA degree. Continue to maintain other parts of the building and facilities that meet the expectation of the students. Student assessment of faculities has improved over previous year with the addition of the computers in the Design Studio space (AB2-Room 315), however the space is crowded with additional resource materials that are difficult to keep organized. |

Emphasize to students that networking during their term at Sam Houston should start when they enter the program and includes all classroom guest speakers, participation in professional organization activities and contacts made during an internship experience. Of the small number of students, 1/4, the impact of the lack of students interest in seeking out networking opportunities had a great affect on the outcome of the findings in this area. |
