Narrative

Sam Houston State University (SHSU) is consistent in the way it describes itself to each recognized accrediting body with regard to purpose, governance, programs, degrees, diplomas, certificates, personnel, finances, and constituencies.  Furthermore, SHSU keeps apprised each institutional accrediting body of any changes in its status with other accrediting bodies.  Provided in the table below is a list of accrediting bodies and the respective programs they accredit at SHSU, along with the date of the most recent review and copies of statements used to describe the institution to the accreditor.

SHSU has not had an accreditation terminated, nor has any negative action been taken by the accrediting agencies against SHSU programs.

All accreditations held by the institution and its programs are listed on the accreditations webpage maintained by the Office of Academic Planning and Assessment [1].
