  • I have particiapted in several research projects of both qualitative and quantitative methodolgy. All of the research projects have resulted in peer-reviewed publications in professional journals.
  • I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Texas, an licensed professional counselor supervisor, a licensed marriage anf family therapist(LMFT), and an approved LMFT supervisor. In addition, I am a certified school counselor.
  • I have 10 years of clincial practice. My clincial experience includes working in hospitals, agencies, and private practice as a mental health provider.
  • This is my ninth year teaching in the counseling program at SHSU. I have consistently maintained above average student evaluations on the IDEA system and the system used prior to the IDEA.
  • In 2006, I was honored to receive Counselor Supervisor of the Year from Texas Association of Counselor Educators and Supervisors (TACES). In 2001, I received Supervisor of the Year Award given by Chi Sigma Iota, a national honor society for counseling students.
